We have just got back from a guided weekend with David in the lakes and can honestly say that we enjoyed every minute of it and would recommend him as a guide to anyone! We did a ride from Ambleside on Saturday and one on the natural trails around Grizedale on Sunday, both were excellent routes and David had a fantastic knowledge of the routes. It was only myself and my girlfriend this weekend, she is more of a beginner to mountain biking but David accommodated both our skill levels in the routes he took us on so it was enjoyable for us both. There were some fantastic descents which offered fast flows sections as well as a fair bit of rocky chunky tech. He knows some lovely coffee and cake spots too! We would be genuinely recommend David and Select Trails to anyone - he is a lovely chap, patient, professional, knowledgeable and everything you want in a guide.

Dave, took a group of us on the Gap Route in the Brecon Beacons. He was a very knowledgeable guide and made the whole experience very enjoyable and stress free! Would highly recommend! Top bloke!

Dave is a very knowledgeable, competent rider, with a fitness to suit any ability. I've rode all over the country with him on many rides that he's organised, confident, funny guy who is great company within any group. Highly recommend him as a guide.

With ages ranging from 29 to 66, differing levels of off-road riding ability and the wettest day recorded this year David certainly had a major challenge on his hands when the five of us met at Grizedale on Saturday.
Returning wet and cold after riding a whole range and type of tracks everyone in the group felt elated, excited and very satisfied. Apparently effortlessly, David had achieved all of this without the less experienced riders feeling they were holding up the group or the better riders feeling they were being deprived of their challenges.
I had previously ridden twice before on a one to one basis with David which was just brilliant, but I doubt “my 4 new best friends” will now ever allow that to happen again.
Knowledgeable, professional guide, super nice guy equals memorable days in the hills.
Can’t recommend too highly.
